FLOBEL ADVISOR JON HAGGINS DISCUSSES GLOBE TROTTER TV & CHASING WILD ASS

Jon Haggins is a New York based motivational speaker with expertise in travel, fashion, interior design and food. Huggins is also the host of GlobeTrotter TV, a national travel show available to viewers in New York on local television and worldwide online. GlobeTrotter TV is an informative and entertaining program that features destinations, foodies and guests from around the world. The main goal of the program is to expand the horizons of viewers, allowing them to journey beyond the couch and discover dreamy far away places where they can reach for the stars. In this Nectar News interview, Haggins tells readers more about his interdisciplinary work and his program objectives for GlobeTrotter TV.

NN: You are involved in a variety of industries, where and when did you begin developing your interdisciplinary profession?
JH: I was inspired as a child to pursue all my dreams from my Grandad. He had such a zest for life and enjoyed sharing it with his family and friends
NN: How do you most effectively bring fashion, food, interior and travel together for your followers to experience?
JH: You have to eat when you travel. Therefore, dining experiences are necessary. I love the different cuisines that I have discovered around the world.  Travel has always been my passion, but fashion was my first love. I’ve been told that I have an eye for good taste and have applied my talents.
NN: Tell us about the structure and genre of GlobeTrotter TV. What objectives do you seek to achieve with your programming?

JH: GlobeTrotter TV is a half hour weekly lifestyle travel show that airs five times a week featuring many destinations and cultures. My slogan is, “My world is your world, so get up, get out and travel.” I believe one can not see the entire world in a life time, but they certainly can try. I have traveled to six continents and loved every moment. I believe it’s so necessary to understand other cultures, and travel provides the education for everyone in which they can meet new people and rid themselves of prejudice behaviors. I always like to say, you must pack a sense of humor before you travel so that you can laugh at yourself and laugh with others.
NN: Discuss the books you have published and describe how your motivational speaking is closely tied with your written work. Unknown-201x300

JH: I have written three books. “The African American Travel Guide” provides inspiration for my readers and encourages them to get out and travel. “Yes I Can” is a memoir that shares my life story from humble beginnings in Florida to New York, and thereafter. “Chasing Wild ASS” is a travel book featuring more than 60 destinations around the world with color photos and aromatic recipes.
NN: What advice would you give a young professional who is interested in becoming an on screen personality and developing their own content?
JH: You have to follow your dreams and don’t let anyone tell you you can’t do it.  Take acting classes, learn the trade and attend several networking events.
Jon Haggins tells Nectar News that  the title of the book, Chasing Wild ASS came about while chasing jackasses in Kutch Wild Ass Sanctuary in Gujarat, India. “Chasing Wild ASS is food for the soul; it’s adventure, history, culinary, culture and a lifestyle, with a bit of humor to spice it up. Chasing Wild ASS will entertain and offer tips to massage your soul. It’s a celebration of life. I promise you’ll have a trip of a lifetime. You have to live each moment as if it’s your last. My world is your world, so remember, get up, get out and travel“. To learn more about Jon Haggins, listen to his recent interview on Joan Hamburg’s Radio Show – 77 WABC and visit his website and social media pages below.
