MARKETING & SOCIAL MEDIA – DIY ARTISTS
On Monday May 4th, the Florence Belsky Charitable Foundation (FLOBEL) hosted Marketing & Social Media for the DIY Artist at the Institute of Audio Research. The panel focused on creating, promoting and building brands in today’s fast-paced DIY environment. The Marketing & Social Media panel is number three of four FLOBEL panels geared towards the Do-it-Yourself Artist. Mark Barron, Fiona Bloom, Cassandra Kubinski, Lou Plaia, Hayley Rosenbaum, and Jasmine “Jazz” Young contributed their expertise in the discussion informing DIY artists about the marketing channels that must be tackled through the clutter of today’s music marketplace. The panel representatives also spoke about new technologies, tools and resources necessary to launch and sustain new products and brands.
