APOSTOLIC CHILD DEVELOPMENT
In 1967, Lula Mae Bluntson established Apostolic Child Development Center in the Pleasant City area of Palm Beach County, FL. Apostolic Child Development Center (APCD) is an Apple Certified volunteer Pre-Kindergarten facility that provides families with programs and services for academic success. APCD provides a warm and loving educational environment that focuses on 10 areas of development and learning, including social-emotional, cognitive, language, literacy, and physical skills. Based on the research of Teaching Strategies, LLC, the centers has devised a school readiness approach to early childhood education. The pre-kindergarten facility serves children from infancy through five years of age and utilizes the bilingual abilities of their staff to communicate with children who are fluent in Spanish, Creole, French and Portuguese. Under the direction of Lula Mae Bluntson’s grandson, Timothy Wingate Jr., the company also seeks to empower low-income families to be positive leaders for their children and people in their communities.
