Melanie Wildman, an up-and-coming performer and professional DJ, recently finished rehearsing full-time for the 2015 Workshop of J.M Barrie’s “Peter Pan”. Melanie and the cast will begin their summer tour in Washington D.C. and are scheduled to travel to an array of metropolitan cities throughout the year. Melanie plays the eccentric role of Tinkerbell and participates in an extensive flying configuration using the medium of a circus tent. This production, unlike any other to precede it, is a straight play with music incorporating aerial and silk work as an added layer of story-telling.
In addition to her professional work in the theater, Melanie made her DJ debut at Webster Hall on Friday, January 30th. Melanie incorporated multiple forms of performance art including light design, music production, mixing & mastering, and hip-hop dance to ensure a completely immersive experience. Melanie will strive to continue to blossom in the music industry within the next few months before her theatrical endeavors take precedence. Melanie is also an established choreographer and freelance performer. Catch some of her work at Princeton University, The Boston Conservatory, PACE University and American Theater Dance Workshop.
