The Barefoot Shakespeare Company is pleased to announce the second show of its fourth season, Taming of the Shrew. Barefoot Shakespeare Company was formed three years ago by Rob Sniffin, Emily Gallagher and Courtney Moors. In their seasonal productions, the creative team seeks to bring Shakespeare’s work to a wide and diverse audience with a pedestrian, engaging and modern outlook on the works of the Bard. The company strives to create work that is grounded, accessible and applicable by approaching Shakespeare’s texts with energy, enthusiasm and excitement.

TAMING OF THE SHREW

Raw, quick, sharp. 13926014_1343933892301836_7731327434692541366_o

That’s our Kate and Petruchio. But how did we get here? Men and women look at things from different lenses, and it comes to a head in a fast, tumultuous and sexy spectacle. In the 1950s, everything was in its place…what happens when we shake the world up a bit? Taming of the Shrew is directed by Robert Sniffin and the cast includes both Barefoot alumni and newcomers: Christopher Berghoff, Collin Blackard, Emily Gallagher, Isaac Miller, Clinton Powell, Joe Raik, Jefferson Reardon, Taylor Rynski, Stephen Shore, Emily Thaler, and Christopher Whitehead.
