ROCKAWAY WATERFRONT ALLIANCE
Shore Corps and Aqua 101 are youth programs that build on arts and environmental stewardship to engage young people over the summer season. Students take part in field trips, environmental stewardship, arts projects with local artists/designers, urban gardening, swimming, surfing, gardening, marine science, biking and kayaking in Jamaica Bay and on the Rockaway shoreline.
Shore Corps summer youth paid internship is for local youth aged 15-19 and meets, 3-5 days a week, from July 13th-August 14th.
Aqua 101 summer youth program is for local youth ages 10-14 and meets for 1 week sessions Monday-Friday 9AM-5PM:
Session 2: July 27th through July 31st, 2015
Deadline for both programs: June 1st, 2015
