THE BRAHMA KUMARIS
The Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual University has over 825,000 regular students, with over 8,500 centers in 100 countries. The University has initiated a spiritual movement in which students are taught a form of meditation that focuses on identity as souls. Via “soul-conscious” practices and teaching, the Brahma Kumaris establishes a global culture that encourages students to transcend typical identifiers associated with the body such as religion, race and gender.
Administrative Head of the Brahma Kumaris, Dadi Janki provides a working leadership model for all women and men who are seeking to integrate both male and female qualities into their personal and professional lives. Dadi Janki lovingly engages people of all faiths and walks of life to be true to their spiritual self; to undertake their unique and individual part in the play of creating a future world worthy of the generations to come.
Individuals who participate in courses at the University study spiritual knowledge that nurtures respect for all faith traditions, coherently explains the nature of soul, God, time, and karma, and delineates an enlightened lifestyle.
“We practice and teach a form of meditation that relaxes the mind and nurtures a healthy balance between our inner and outer worlds. Through numerous social service activities and partnerships, we promote spiritual understanding, leadership with integrity and elevated actions towards a better world“. brahmakumaris.org/us
